Movie Scene Queen is hosting a special screening of FIFTY SHADES OF GREY on Wednesday, February 11th at 7:30 on the Waterfront.  Please comment below with your best or worst Valentine’s Day story.  I’ll keep mine brief– But last year I ended up stuck in Atlanta for their “snow” storm.  My family and loved ones were out and about in Pittsburgh, while I watched Atlanta literally shut down the city for like 2 inches of snow.  UGH!

Fifty Shades of Grey is the hotly anticipated film adaptation of the bestselling book that has become a global phenomenon. Since its release, the “Fifty Shades” trilogy has been translated into 51 languages worldwide and sold more than 100 million copies in e-book and print—making it one of the biggest and fastest-selling book series ever.  Stepping into the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, who have become iconic to millions of readers, are Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson.

Much Love,

Movie Scene Queen

  1. My best was probably my first with my then boyfriend, now husband. It was simple, he’d taken me to dinner, but up til then, no one had ever done that for me before.

  2. Last year I had just started seeing someone and he sent me flowers at work…but he forgot to sign the card so I worried that maybe they were from mom or a coworker and didn’t say anything to him for hours. He was so nervous when he ordered them he forgot to say his name haha. We’ve been together even since!

  3. A girl that I had a crush on while working at Pizza Hut asked me to drive her to college on Feb 13 because her car was in the shop, I showed up with a dozen roses the next day to take her to school she was floored and we dated throughout college.

  4. A very good friend and myself were stood up for #Feb14 and we decided we didn’t feel like sulking in despair. ..We went to dinner had a blast and we are still friends till this day! !!

  5. My husband passed away in 2013. After 37 years of marriage, Valentine’s Day is definitely a day filled with many memories. I know it is not Valentine’s Day yet but I want to wish everyone days filled with Love and Happiness.
Thanks for having this contest. I hope to get passes.

  6. I try to get a card early for my Valentine but forget where I put it when the time comes. I ended up having to get another one at the last minute.

  7. I guess my reply would be I can remember one that is either the best or the worst so I guess mine are pretty boring.

    1. My best Valentine memory was when I received a dozen long stem roses without a card. I was intrigued. Turns out my daughter sent them to me!

  8. I had no valentine, no date, no plans but a patient at work got me a gift. Then some friends surprised me with balloons and teddy bears also.

  9. I usually try to go to a nice dinner and movie. I also plan a surprise like flowers or a small scavenger hunt.. it is always fun!

  10. I’ve never actually had a boyfriend on valentines day until this year, so i don’t have any stories to share. But hopefully this year my boyfriend and I will be able to change that! 🙂

  11. In high school we had a dance on Valentine’s day where the girls ask the guys. It was fun to switch things up. The girl buys the flowers and dinner. I would always just go with a friend. Was always a good time! Nothing serious but is a high school memory I never forgot.

  12. One year me and my sisters went to dinner at our favorite Chinese restaurant and exchanged our gifts we took up half the table for just our gifts lol

  13. Mine is the best and worst. My girlfriend a the time broke up with me in public on Valentines Day, and made a huge scene about it and was very mean about it. Another girl overheard how mean she was and came over to make sure i was ok. We then went to dinner that nite. That woman is now my wife.

  14. I went to DC last yer for V-day. I was great. We had a great dinner. and had Sprinkles cupcakes.. the best ever lol

  15. getting away to a hotel just for the night on valentines day was the best
    I don’t believe I’ve had a bad valentines day

  16. My husband and I have been married for 28 years but together for 30. Our best Valentines is when we actually get sit down and spend time toghether. We dont actually have to go out to a big fancy dinner etc… Its just wonderful to be together.

  17. My Best Valentines Day was when my sweetie had pre-ordered roses for me 3 weeks before Valentines day and forgot about them. Then had ordered more roses for delivery from some where else. So, on Valentines Day last year at work I received 2 dozen roses!

  18. My worst Valentine’s Day was a few years ago, I was still recovering from a foot surgery so I couldn’t walk all that well. It had been snowing pretty bad and I had to help push the florist delivery person get unstuck from going off my driveway and I had to help push her car to a safe area. It wasn’t till after she delivered the dozen red roses that I saw that they were for my neighbor!!! 😦
