Movie Scene Queen is hosting a special screening of FIFTY SHADES OF GREY on Wednesday, February 11th at 7:30 on the Waterfront. Please comment below with your best or worst Valentine’s Day story. I’ll keep mine brief– But last year I ended up stuck in Atlanta for their “snow” storm. My family and loved ones were out and about in Pittsburgh, while I watched Atlanta literally shut down the city for like 2 inches of snow. UGH!

My best valentines day story probably had to be when I was about 6 months pregnant with our daughter. I had an AWFULLLLL day at work, I craved cheesburgers the ENTIRE day ( and my entire pregnancy as well. lol ) but that day I just needed one so badly. It was snowing horribly so I took myself home, cheeseburger-less. When I walked in there was valentines day card, 2 cheesburgers and cupcakes from my husband in the kitchen. If that aint love!! lol Thanks movie scene QUEEN!
I remember a different Valentine’s day two years ago. All day I was wondering what my husband
was going to surprise me with. Would it be dinner out? Would it be dinner he would fix,would I
receive flowers at the door,would he bring candy home??? The day passed into night, nothing
happened. Oh well, I was really sad/mad. Come to fine out he had forgotten it was the 14th but made up for it on the 15th. Flower’s,dinner,and wine when we got home. So whats one day!

I gave a fellow college student flowers at one of the eateries on campus on V-Day 2008. I asked her out and she told me she would get back to me later. After our newspaper meeting that evening, she broke my heart.
My daughter just told me a story of her boyfriends first V’day with her. He was out of town and the day after he asked her if she got the flowers he sent her. She said No and he sent her a picture of his 2 year old holding mixed generic flowers. He told her that she got the same ones as his daughter. I think he forgot that’s why it was late and to try to give her the same flowers as his daughter. CRAZY! Shes not with him anymore. Hey Guys….ur first V’day is special. A day we will never forget. Don’t screw it up if u don’t want it brought up every year. 🙂
First of all I can’t celebrate Valentine’s Day on Valentine’s Day. It’s my husband’s birthday every year. So every year I trade off my Valentine’s Day for Sweetest Day in October. WHY? Because I don’t want to spend my romantic holiday buying my hubby 2 gifts, and then have to hang out with family and sing him Happy Birthday. I KNOW – Call my selfish, but I just want one day where it’s about us and I have to wait every Oct now! Grr! When we were first dating I would buy him 2 gifts not because it was required, but because I felt obligated! I’m glad we don’t do that anymore …. but Valentine’s Day is really just another day for me now and that SUCKS! Especially when everyone else on social media is blasting the flowers, candy, and gifts ….. Owell …. I have my hubby and that’s all the truly matters, right???!!!!
This year will be my best. Married for 18 years, I am doing 32 days of Valentine’s Love for my hubby which will end on Valentine’s day! 32 days of different cards, treats, surprises I leave or give to him each day. Yummy!!
There has been hearing some serious debate on this movie and the expectations that women may expect their husbands to do to them. From a psychological standpoint the behavior in this movie as well as the book is very unhealthy for a relationship. The control and narcissism involved is considered deviant sexual behavior that leads to non-commitment and unfaithfulness if those needs aren’t fulfilled on a regular basis for the deviant. But as long as others “know” this is not reality and just a movie/book based on fantasy (such as porn), then it shouldn’t be much of a problem. I would like to see how far this movie has gone to keep viewers from being unfaithful to their partners just for a quick fling.
I went into labor 33 years ago on Feb 13th. It was 6:30pm in the evening, and my husband drove me to the hospital. Unfortunately, my labor was very long and ardous. Fortunately, the next day around 8:30 am, I delivered a gorgeous baby girl.
Best Valentine’s day was the first date with my future wife. It was the start of a new me.

My favorite Valentine’s day was the very first time I celebrated. My then boyfriend, now husband, came to my house with flowers, chocolate and a ballon that couldn’t fit through my door way! I made fettuccini shrimp and chicken Alfredo, garlic bread and salad….I was only 18…lol I loved that he ate all the food and even the food off my plate! I knew from that day that I wanted to cook for him the rest of my life 🙂
My boyfriend gave me a fake rose and told me that he would love me till the last petal fell. very sweet
