The Finest Hours 3D Passes

In 1952, a massive storm splits the SS Pendleton in two, trapping more than 30 sailors inside the tanker’s sinking stern. Engineer Ray Sybert bravely takes charge to organize a strategy for his fellow survivors. As word of the disaster reaches the Coast Guard in Chatham, Mass., Chief Warrant Officer Daniel Cluff orders a daring rescue mission. Despite the ferocious weather, coxswain Bernie Webber takes three men on a lifeboat to try and save the crew against seemingly impossible odds.

Movie Scene Queen is hosting an advance screening of THE FINEST HOURS in 3D on Tuesday, January 26th  at 7:30 PM at the AMC Waterfront 22.  If you are interested, please comment below with your ship wreck movie or story.  While most of you will say Titanic (1997), I will have to agree.  I’ve always enjoyed that movie!

Much Love,

Movie Scene Queen

  1. Obviously titanic is the best shipwreck movie, but when it comes to best shipwreck storylines I automatically think of Gilligan’s island. A 3 hour tour that lasted for years.

    1. Titanic was the best. It had everything in it to keep you interested and based on a true story with an artistic liberty

  2. The Perfect Storm (2000) George Clooney I would have to say is my favorite. I believe it was also based on a true story.

  3. The new movie based on Moby Dick, “In the Heart of the Sea”. I didn’t know that the novel Moby Dick was based on true events. I learned that in this movie.

  4. Ok I know this is weird but I have to say open water, I am totally captivated by sharks and I loved the shark action
