Hidden Figures Passes

HIDDEN FIGURES is the incredible untold story of Katherine G. Johnson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughan (Octavia Spencer) and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monáe)—brilliant African-American women working at NASA, who served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit, a stunning achievement that restored the nation’s confidence, turned around the Space Race, and galvanized the world.  The visionary trio crossed all gender and race lines to inspire generations to dream big.

Movie Scene Queen will be holding a screening of HIDDEN FIGURES Tuesday, November 22 at 5 PM at AMC Waterfront 22.  Please comment below with your favorite Taraji P. Henson moment.  There’s something about Taraji!  From Baby Boy (2001) to The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008) to Fox’s Empire,  I just love the roles she plays and the energy she uses to portray them.

Much Love,

Movie Scene Queen

  1. Taraji P. Henson as Queenie in “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” while looking at Benjamin as an infant: “You as ugly as an old pot, but you still a child of God…” – I shed a tear every time I remember it, say it, or think it.

  2. One of my favorite Taraji films is I Can Do Bad All By Myself. I love her roll as April. Her character is sassy and fun, and very relatable. She experiences so much in that move and I love seeing how her charcheter unfolds and develops. I can’t wait to see her in her new film Hidden Figures!

  3. I am such a fan of hers and loved the acceptance speech that she made when receiving the emmy
for playing Cookie in Empire. That told me the type of woman she is and how well she can act.

  4. Taraji Henson is a strong screen presence in everything she’s in. I especially liked her in Think Like A Man. The story of Hidden Figures sounds like an important story to tell, and I hope to get passes to see it.

  5. ANYTHING !!!! Hard to pick a favorite when you look and act that good. But if I had to pick one it would be “No good deed”

  6. Well every movie shes in she makes it so believable Hustle & Flow …you know its hard out here for a pimp!….. Baby boy …when she screaming outside on the steps telling Jody she hates he as% & then go in the house to love making !
