Gifted Passes

Frank Adler (Chris Evans) is a single man raising a child prodigy – his spirited young niece Mary (Mckenna Grace) – in a coastal town in Florida. Frank’s plans for a normal school life for Mary are foiled when the seven-year-old’s mathematical abilities come to the attention of Frank’s formidable mother Evelyn (Lindsay Duncan) whose plans for her granddaughter threaten to separate Frank and Mary. Octavia Spencer plays Roberta, Frank and Mary’s landlady and best friend. Jenny Slate is Mary’s teacher, Bonnie, a young woman whose concern for her student develops into a connection with her uncle as well.

MSQ is screening GIFTED on Monday, April 10th at 7:30pm at the AMC Waterfront 22.  Please comment below with your favorite Octavia Spencer moment.

  1. I love Octavia Spencer acting, she is a good serious black professional actor. From the roles she played in several movies you can tell that Mrs Spencer is educated. Her nice calm persona in acting ,makes me want to go see all Mrs Spencer movies on the big screen.

  2. I love her in everything, but especially in The Help and Coach Carter (but that’s bias because its one of my favorite movies lol)

  3. I loved her in Hidden Figures – actually I have loved her in everything she is in! But Hidden Figures was incredible and they did such a good job with casting.

  4. Acting-wise, her role in The Help as Minnie Jackson, but from a comedic standpoint, she was great as the lobster-whisperer in Dinner for Schmucks.

Hope its not too late for passes!
