Set in contemporary Chicago, amidst a time of turmoil, four women with nothing in common except a debt left behind by their dead husbands’ criminal activities, take fate into their own hands, and conspire to forge a future on their own terms.

For your chance to snag two passes to the November 7th screening of Fox’s Widows, please comment below with your favorite Viola Davis moment.  Can I say I am addicted to “How to Get Away with Murder”?  I don’t miss an episode!  In my opinion, it’s some of her best acting.

Much Love,

Movie Scene Queen

  1. I thought her best performance was in Fences with Denzel Washington. Her scenes with Denzel were quite memorable. You really felt for her character. It was such a powerful performance and it was filmed here in Pittsburgh. My grandmother lived in the Hill District when I was young and I thought the movie depicted the Hill just like I remembered it. I believe she won an Academy Award for the her performance.

I also loved her in The Help and Antwone Fisher, both very good movies

  2. Can’t think of anything but Fences which is the latest that I saw her in. I know some people who were extras while they were filming in the Burgh. They stated that she was not very friendly.

  3. I love her speech when she won the Emmy for HTGAWM. I love that show as well! She is so good at playing Annalise Keating!
