Missing Link Passes

This April, meet Mr. Link: 8 feet tall, 630 lbs, and covered in fur, but don’t let his appearance fool you… he is funny, sweet, and adorably literal, making him the world’s most lovable legend at the heart of Missing Link, the globe-trotting family adventure from LAIKA. Tired of living a solitary life in the Pacific Northwest, Mr. Link recruits fearless explorer Sir Lionel Frost to guide him on a journey to find his long-lost relatives in the fabled valley of Shangri-La. Along with adventurer Adelina Fortnight, our fearless trio of explorers encounter more than their fair share of peril as they travel to the far reaches of the world to help their new friend. Through it all, the three learn that sometimes you can find a family in the places you least expect.

Movie Scene Queen will be screening Missing Link on Saturday, April 6th, 11:00 AM at AMC Waterfront 22. Please comment below to express interest. Tickets will be sent early next week.

The Great Wall Passes

The Great Wall.jpeg

Starring Matt Damon, The Great Wall is about European mercenaries searching for black powder become embroiled in the defense of the Great Wall of China against a horde of monstrous creatures.

For tickets to the February 15th screening, please comment below with your favorite Chinese movie (or movie about China).  Call me corny (and I don’t know if this actually fits my own description) but I love the Rush Hour film series…all three of them!

xXx: Return of Xander Cage Passes

image001.png

Starring: Vin Diesel, Donnie Yen, Deepika Padukone, Toni Collette, Ruby Rose, Nina Dobrev, Tony Jaa, Kris Wu, Michael Bisping, Rory McCann, Nicky Jam, Neymar Jr., and Samuel L. Jackson, the third explosive chapter of the blockbuster franchise that redefined the spy thriller finds extreme athlete turned government operative Xander Cage (Diesel) coming out of self-imposed exile and on a collision course with deadly alpha warrior Xiang and his team in a race to recover a sinister and seemingly unstoppable weapon known as Pandora’s Box. Recruiting an all-new group of thrill-seeking cohorts, Xander finds himself enmeshed in a deadly conspiracy that points to collusion at the highest levels of world governments. Packed with the series’ signature deadpan wit and bad-ass attitude, “xXx: RETURN OF XANDER CAGE” will raise the bar on extreme action with some of the most mind-blowing stunts to ever be caught on film.

Please comment below with your favorite Vin Diesel moment.  The screening will take place on Wednesday, January 18th at Cinemark Robinson Township.

The BFG Passes

The talents of three of the world’s greatest storytellers – Roald Dahl, Walt Disney and Steven Spielberg – finally unite to bring Dahl’s beloved classic “The BFG” to life. Disney’s “The BFG” tells the imaginative story of a young girl and the Giant who introduces her to the wonders and perils of Giant Country.

The screening of The BFG will be held on Wednesday, June 29th at 7 PM at the Cinemark Robinson.  Please comment below with your favorite Steven Spielberg movies.  I’ve only seen Jaws (1975) once a couple years back, but it was hilarious!  The old school technology, which was groundbreaking at the time, the cheesy, fake scared acts, and the terror of big rubber shark are clearly elements of a classic.

Interstellar Passes

With our time on Earth coming to an end, a team of explorers undertakes the most important mission in human history; traveling beyond this galaxy to discover whether mankind has a future among the stars.

INTER

Academy Award winner Matthew McConaughey stars in this adventure film, Interstellar, alongside Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, and Casey Affleck.  There’s a very special screening of this movie on Wednesday, November 5th at 7:00 PM.  I’m only selecting TWO lucky winners. Winners will be emailed the morning of November 4th with additional screening information.

For an official entry, please comment below with below with your favorite Matthew McConaughey movie.  I’ll start with mine: The Wedding Planner (2001).  But, EDtv (1999) comes in a close second.
