Air Passes

Sonny Vaccaro and Nike pursue basketball rookie Michael Jordan, creating a partnership that revolutionizes the world of sports and contemporary culture.

We are hosting an advance screening on Wednesday, April 4 in the Waterfront. Please comment below with your favorite sports movie. My favorite serious sports film is Remember the Titans (2000) and my favorite funny sports movie is Happy Gilmore (1996).

Downsizing Passes

image001.png

Downsizing imagines what might happen if, as a solution to over-population, Norwegian scientists discover how to shrink humans to five inches tall and propose a 200-year global transition from big to small.  People soon realize how much further money goes in a miniaturized world, and with the promise of a better life, everyman Paul Safranek (Matt Damon) and wife Audrey (Kristen Wiig) decide to abandon their stressed lives in Omaha in order to get small and move to a new downsized community — a choice that triggers life-changing adventures.

Interested in joining Movie Scene Queen for an advance screening of DOWNSIZING on December  19?  Just answer one question:  What’s the first thing you would purchase with your “downsizing” fortune?  I’d buy a house.  It would be the size of a closet, but in the downsizing world that’s a mansion.

The Great Wall Passes

The Great Wall.jpeg

Starring Matt Damon, The Great Wall is about European mercenaries searching for black powder become embroiled in the defense of the Great Wall of China against a horde of monstrous creatures.

For tickets to the February 15th screening, please comment below with your favorite Chinese movie (or movie about China).  Call me corny (and I don’t know if this actually fits my own description) but I love the Rush Hour film series…all three of them!

The Martian Passes

When astronauts blast off from the planet Mars, they leave behind Mark Watney (Matt Damon), presumed dead after a fierce storm. With only a meager amount of supplies, the stranded visitor must utilize his wits and spirit to find a way to survive on the hostile planet. Meanwhile, back on Earth, members of NASA and a team of international scientists work tirelessly to bring him home, while his crew mates hatch their own plan for a daring rescue mission.

20th Century Fox and Movie Scene Queen brings you an opportunity to see The Martian at AMC Waterfront 22 on Monday, September 21st at 7:30 PM. If interested, please comment below with your favorite Matt Damon moment.  To be completely honest, (and please don’t kill) I think Matt Damon is okay.  If I had to choose, I’d have to say any movie where he played Jason Bourne.
